The consequences of rejecting God can be seen all around us.

Text Hosea 14:4-5
In this text, the people acknowledge the consequences of their rejection of God.
Individuals: the level of distress, complaints, depression, and grumbling is unprecedented Families are struggling to stay united, and I am afraid for the next generation.
As a nation: leadership struggles, hardships, immigration, a sign of loss of national identity and sovereignty

The only hope for people is a return to God.
The way forward for nations, families, and individual is a return to God. This a common theme in the Bible, it was a common message the prophets preached (e.g Deut. 30: Acts 3:26); it was the common thing the godly Kings and leaders did. This is the only hope for the future. There is hope for those who do not know God than rejecters of God.

When do you know you need Jubilee or restoration?
Coming to the point where you know you need Jubilee is the beginning of good things to come E.g Jonah 1; Ruth (1:16-18); Zacheous ( Luke 19:1-10), the prodigal son (Luke 15:17-20)…

N.B If you can stop pointing fingers and focus on your relationship with God, you will be okay. Because there is no way you can have frictionless life, someone somewhere will be a stumbling block (Acts 20:17-24).

Reasons why people are reluctant to come to the Lord and what they should do.
We must know these reasons in order to help people come to the Lord

1. Past sins: What to do? confess your sins, and God shall forgive you ( 1 John 1:8-9).

2. Being blinded by the enemy so that they are not aware of themselves ( 2 Cor 4:4); preach Christ to them

3. Sexual immorality, What to do? Pray to God, He will give you your own wife or husband and be faithful.

4. Corrupt means of making money, e.g. Zacchaeus, Luke 19:1-10).

5. False spiritual practices (Acts 19:17-20; Deut. 18:9-13). What can they do? Come to Jesus and receive the. Holy Spirit.The consequences of rejecting God can be seen all around us
