A Fresh New anointing from God for the year 2024

Per God's design, the new season gives us the opportunity to do something new, to change the

direction of our lives, or to bring an end to something (Gen 1-2; Ecc 3). Therefore, 2024 Will

give us another opportunity to do something new.

Text Lamentations 3:22-23; John 20;21-22; Acts 1:8

New seasons or challenges require fresh anointing. Anointing here means the power of God or

anything you need for the new season (e.g., Acts 1:8)

Jesus further teaches us that new wine requires new wineskin (Luke 5:37-39). Fresh

anointing (wine) will require fresh containment (new mindset Romans 12:1, new strategy, new

body, etc).

Some of the situations that will require new anointing

1. When you are tired or discouraged or run out of ideas, it does not mean your end has come; a fresh anointing from God will make the difference. A fresh anointing will take away the depression How through prayers and waiting ((e.g., Isaiah 40:28-31; John 20:21-22).

2. When you are about to embark on a new mission, or project, or move to another level, you will need a fresh anointing. How? New skills, mindsets, approvals etc. For example, David was first anointed at the age of around 16 ( 1 Sam 16:1;13), then anointed again over Judah (2 Sam2:3-4), and then annotated again over the whole 12 tribes ( 2 Sam 5:3).

3. When you have been a prodigal son or daughter, you will need a fresh anointing, repentance, discipleship, and a fresh cleansing from God (Acts 3: 20; Luke 15:11-32).

4. When you have been persecuted, and fear has gripped you, the fresh anointing will give you new strength, vigour, focus, courage, etc. ( Acts 4:31).
