Wherever there is 'love’, victory from God is assured.

Introduction:

Wherever there is 'love', victory from God is assured.

Love is a complicated subject: if you don't love, you become coldhearted, timid, and wicked, but if you do love, although victory is assured, you also appear vulnerable to wicked people. When you don’t receive love, you can become bitter unless the source of your strength is from God. Love is such a big thing that many people do not know how to receive love or even love.

Text Matthew 22:34-40; 1 Corinthians 13:1-13; 1 John 4:7-21

Why love? Jesus teaches us that love is the greatest commandment of God ( Matthew 22:34-40).

What is love? ( see 1 Corinthians 13)

Understanding God’s love for us and our responses ( see 1 Jon 4:7-71)

Other themes to consider:

  1. The place of emotions in love (anger, happiness ). Emotions could be signals, informing us. For example, anger could mean that something is wrong; However, you don't have to act in anger. Happiness could be a sign that something that you like has happened; However, we don't act accordingly, rather we think and act according to what is right.

  2. The voices in your mind and love: the voices in your mind or your intuition are not 100% right to be relied upon. Always test your own thoughts to see if they are right.

  3. True love is guided by knowledge and appropriate action.
